Naithan George has been a full-time starter through his two seasons at Georgia Tech. He’ll now be continuing that career elsewhere in the ACC.

George has committed to the Syracuse Orange in the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned. That news came on Friday per On3’s Joe Tipton.

“NEWS: Georgia Tech transfer guard Nait George has committed to Syracuse, he told @On3sports,” Tipton tweeted this afternoon.

George spent his underclassman seasons with 63 appearances, 62 being starts, the Yellow Jackets. He averaged 11.2 points (40.4% FG, 33% 3PT), 5.7 assists, and 3.4 rebounds per game while in Atlanta. Those numbers improved from his freshman to his sophomore seasons by posting 12.3 points (39.3% FG, 33.9% 3PT), 6.5 assists, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.1 steals, which made him their leader in assists while being third in scoring and steals and fifth in boards. That also earned him an Honorable Mention as All-ACC.

George is one of four total transfers during this cycle for Georgia Tech. Duncan Powell, Doryan Onwuchekwa, and Ibrahim Souare have also entered their names into the portal.

Now, Syracuse is up to three additions in the portal with George. Oregon State’s Nate Kingz and UCLA’s William Kyle. George is the highest-rated of the trio, though, as the No. 47 transfer and the No. 12 SG per the latest in On3’s 2025 Top Transfer Portal Players.
