2024 EDGE KingJoseph Edwards commits to Syracuse

Hoschton (Ga.) Mill Creek three-star EDGE KingJoseph Edwards has committed to Syracuse.

He chose the Orange over Colorado and Florida State.

Edwards is the No. 407 overall prospect and No. 39 EDGE in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 49 player in Georgia.

The Orange picked up steam late under new head coach Fran Brown. Edwards took an official visit on Dec. 8 and is now the latest prospect to pledge to the new-look ACC program.

“With Fran Brown now at the helm of the Orange, Syracuse has entered the picture with Edwards, who was already close to new DE coach Nick Williams, his lead recruiter at Colorado,” On3’s Sam Spiegelman wrote on Dec. 5. “Williams, also from Georgia, and Brown, have both been involved in Edwards’ recruitment for years.”
