Former Colorado defensive back Mark Perry entered the transfer portal just before Christmas Day, Dec. 28. And now, just 13 days later, he is decided on the new place he will call home for the 2022 season.

In less than two weeks, Perry has announced that he will be and savings like that heading to Texas Christian University, TCU, to become a member of the Horned Frogs program. The redshirt sophomore announced his decision from his personal Twitter account on Monday. Perry becomes the third transfer headed to Fort Worth, TX, over the past few days.

Perry started all 12 games at safety for the Buffaloes in 2021. He led the team in interceptions with three on the year and was third in tackles with 72. As a true freshman, Perry played in eight games in 2019. And in the COVID shortened 2020 season, he played and started in all five games. His time at Colorado concludes with him recording 91 total tackles, 63 solo, 28 assists, four pass breakups, two sacks, and three interceptions.

TCU adds running back via transfer portal

First-year TCU head coach Sonny Dykes wasted no time replacing former Horned Frogs running back Zach Evans, who recently transferred to Ole Miss, as Dykes picked up former Louisiana running back Emani Bailey via the transfer portal. Bailey announced his commitment to TCU on Twitter Sunday.

Bailey is a former three-star recruit via the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, which made him the No. 104 running back in the 2020 recruiting class, as well as the No. 168 recruit in the state of Texas.

A 5-foot-8, 197-pound back, Bailey, a second-year freshman, had a solid debut season for Louisiana – rushing for 642 yards and eight touchdowns on 102 carries. Bailey also recorded 15 receptions for 153 yards. Last season, in 2020, Bailey carried the ball 10 times for 60 rushing yards, playing in just five games but not burning a year of eligibility due to the COVID-19 blanket waiver.

A Denton, Texas native, Bailey originally committed to Louisiana over offers from Tulsa and Northwestern State.
