Four-star David Punch out of Harker Heights (Texas) High has announced his commitment to TCU live on the On3 Recruits YouTube Channel.

The 6-foot-7, 220-pound power forward ultimately chose the Horned Frogs over NC State and Penn State. He also received offers from Virginia, Virginia Tech, Xavier, and others.

“I chose TCU because I felt they were going to develop me the best and get me to where I need to be,” Punch said to On3. “They were the first Power 5 to offer me and they have been watching me for around 2 years.”

In his own words, what type of player is TCU getting in Punch?

“I would say my game is really translatable and I’m mismatch everywhere on the court.”

He has a message for Frog fans.

“I’m going to give 100% every time I step on the court and I don’t like losing, so expect a lot of winning.”

Punch Scouting Report

It’s really the motor and production that shines with David Punch. Standing in the 6-6/6-7 range, the forward has good length and a strong frame. He is a good rebounder, effective in and out of his area. He has good timing and is able to high point the ball. Punch can also knock down a spot three. Needs to develop his game off the bounce, become more of a threat in the half court. Punch is a good straight line athlete. You like his ability to consistently bring it, and producing numbers. – On3’s Jamie Shaw
