TCU basketball makes an announcement on upcoming games
Another basketball game has been canceled due to COVID-19 related issues. According to Jon Rothstein, Wednesday’s game between the TCU Horned Frogs and the Texas Southern Tigers has been canceled.
The TCU basketball program has been paused indefinitely as the team continues to struggle with its COVID outbreak.
The Horned Frogs currently sit at 10-1 including victories against Utah and Georgetown. Their lone loss of the season came by 19 points against Santa Clara. Guard Mike Miles leads the team in scoring (16.9 PPG), assists (4.6 APG) and steals (1.4 SPG).
COVID has shown itself to be incredibly contagious in the month of December, with more than just TCU basketball forced to postpone or cancel games. In addition to the Horned Frogs, fellow Big 12 school Oklahoma State recently had a game against USC canceled because of issues in the Trojans’ program.
TCU to postpone an upcoming game
Along with the announcement of the canceling of Wednesday’s game, TCU announced that their Jan. 2 game against The Kansas Jayhawks in Kansas is postponed. The Horned Frogs released this statement on the postponement of the Big 12 matchup with the Jayhawks.
