TCU lands another former SMU commit in EDGE Micheal Ibukun-Okeyode
On3 four-star and Rowlett (Texas) EDGE Micheal Ibukun-Okeyode has committed to TCU.
He is the latest player to flip from SMU to the Horned Frogs after Garland (Texas) teammates four-star safety Chace Biddle and four-star wide receiver Jordan Hudson, along with 2023 Mesquite (Texas) North Mesquite four-star wide receiver Cordale Russell.
All four players decommitted in the days leading up to the official announcement that Sonny Dykes was moving across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex to the take the job at TCU. He brought with him star recruiter Ra’Shaad Samples, who played a major a major role in all of their original commitments.
Micheal Ibukun-Okeyode is the No. 481 overall recruit in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

On3 rates him much higher as the country’s No. 192 overall recruit and as the 38th-best player from the state of Texas.
TCU entered the day with No. 37 recruiting class in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking. Ibukun-Okeyode’s commitment saw the program jump up to No. 33.
