Former Michigan and New Mexico State defensive back Andre Seldon Jr. has announced his commitment to TCU for the 2024 season.

Seldon initially committed to the Wolverines out of high school and spent two seasons in Ann Arbor but didn’t get to see the field much at all and didn’t record a single tackle before deciding to transfer. Once in the portal for the first time, Seldon found a nice new home with New Mexico State, where he would thrive in 2022 and 2023.

In two years with the Aggies, Seldon recorded 97 total tackles, 11 pass deflections and two interceptions across 28 total games participated in. After shining at the Group of Five level each of the last two seasons, Seldon opted to hop back in the portal and will now get a second try at a power conference program — this time, with a bit more pedigree to back him up.

The 5-foot-7 Seldon was a top recruit heading into college despite his diminutive stature, and was rated a four-star prospect in the class of 2020 by the On3 Industry Rankings. He was also ranked the No. 165 overall player and the No. 4 player out of Michigan for his cycle.

Here was his Twitter post with the news:
