Though still trailing in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), TCU’s momentum continues to build for Hoschton (Ga.) Mill Creek four-star EDGE KingJoseph Edwards.

Georgia currently leads in the RPM for Edwards’ commitment at 43.7%, but TCU is surging. The Horned Frogs are up to a 34.1% chance to land Edwards’ commitment after a pair of expert predictions were entered in favor of TCU.

Miami recruiting insider Stephen Wagner entered a TCU pick with 55% confidence. On3 National Recruiting Analyst Sam Spiegelman entered a pick with a confidence level of 60%.

Edwards cut his list to eight schools in late July. He named Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, Tennessee, Texas, TCU, South Carolina and Oklahoma.

He is the nation’s No. 286 overall prospect and No. 19 EDGE in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Edwards is also the No. 32 player in Georgia.

Edwards does not currently have a publicly listed On3 NIL Valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

TCU looking to improve 2024 class

After finishing last season playing in the national championship, TCU has some work to do on and off the field this fall. The Horned Frogs opened the season with an upset loss at home to Deion Sanders’ Colorado Buffaloes.

Off the field, TCU currently sits with the No. 45 recruiting class in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings — down from No. 19 in the 2023 cycle.

Brownsboro (Texas) four-star wide receiver Gekyle Baker headlines the Horned Frogs’ class as the nation’s No. 105 prospect. He’s joined by four additional blue-chip commits in Fort Worth (Texas) Aledo four-star quarterback Hauss Hejny, Missouri City (Texas) Hightower four-star running back Jeremy Payne, Decatur (Texas) four-star running back Nathaniel Palmer and Tyler (Texas) Legacy four-star EDGE Travis Jackson.

Along the defensive line, Sonny Dykes’ staff holds commitments from Jackson and Crowley (Texas) North three-star defensive lineman Sterlin Brooks.
