TCU transfer QB Chandler Morris to visit South Carolina, per report
TCU transfer quarterback Chandler Morris will be visiting South Carolina at some point in the future, he told SportsTalk Media Network on Sunday evening. Morris is the son of former Clemson offensive coordinator and current analyst Chad Morris.
Morris entered the transfer portal for a second time after starting his college career at Oklahoma, where he spent one season and appeared in five games before transferring to TCU. Morris preserved his redshirt in 2021, completing 65.8% of his passes for 695 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions in four games during his first season with the Horned Frogs.
Morris entered the 2022 and 2023 seasons as TCU’s starting quarterback, but unfortunately, injuries kept him off the field the past two years. In the last two seasons, Morris has appeared in 11 games for the Horned Frogs, throwing for 1,677 yards and 13 touchdowns while also rushing for 273 yards and three scores on the ground.
Morris played high school football at Dallas (TX) Highland Park, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 630 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
