The Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners are officially on the move to the SEC from the Big 12. So, naturally, the TCU Horned Frogs couldn’t miss the chance to put out a farewell video on social media on behalf of the Big 12 to say goodbye to them.

The video uses the final scene from Toy Story 3 to create a sentimental feeling of saying goodbye to an old friend. In it, Andy is labeled as Texas and Oklahoma while the remaining Big 12 schools are the toys, with TCU playing the role of Woody. Of course, TCU wasn’t making an entirely serious video and it ends up trolling the two schools as Woody then remembers some fond memories from TCU playing Oklahoma and Texas in sports.

You can watch the entire video that TCU posted to say goodbye to the Longhorns and the Sooners, here:

It’s a bit of a shot from TCU on the way out, but the Horned Frogs are also doing it as an athletic department that has had plenty of success in recent seasons. The Horned Frogs played for a national championship in football more recently than either of them. They also went to the College World Series more recently than either of the two departing schools. So, they do have some recent success to brag about.

Regardless, the video shows that there is still some rivalry between TCU and both of the departing schools, even though they’re not going to be playing on the field as much. That means the rivalries are largely moving to social media bragging.

TCU’s history in athletics is much longer with Texas than with Oklahoma. That’s due to the Horned Frogs and Longhorns playing in the Southwest Conference together. However, when that conference broke up, the Longhorns landed in the Big 12 while the Horned Frogs found themselves in the WAC, C-USA, and Mountain West before making it to the Big 12 in 2012. That’s when they finally found themselves in the same conference as Oklahoma.

Now, TCU and these schools are once again going their separate ways with the move to the SEC. Luckily, for the Horned Frogs, this move is not coming at the immediate cost of the conference they’re in. The Big 12 is not falling apart the same way the Southwest Conference did. Instead, it’s also expanding to have its own new face and potential new rivalries.
