2024 Four-Star ATH Mazeo Bennett commits to Tennessee
Four-star athlete Mazeo Bennett of Greenville (SC) High announced his commitment to Tennessee Sunday afternoon.
The 6-foot, 175 pounder chose the Vols over Miami, North Carolina, Oregon, Alabama, Florida State, South Carolina, and Georgia.
Bennett on why he chose Tennessee
“Tennessee stood out ever since they offered,” Bennett said. “They never stopped recruiting me, we talk every day, the coaching staff is great. They have the program going the right way. Also, the fans are second to none.”
Strong relationships with coaching staff
“I have a great relationship with the entire coaching staff,” Bennett said. “I am closest with coach Pope and Max Thurmond. Also, they plan on utilizing me on special teams, as well as both slot and outside receiver.”

The win vs. Alabama was huge in Bennett’s eyes
“That win against Bama last night was something that I knew was going to happen,” Bennett said. “I knew we were the underdog and still are the underdog. So the atmosphere of the game was top 2, and not 2.”
The South Carolina athlete joins coach Heupel and the Vols’ 2024 class alongside Jonathan Echols and Carson Gentle.
Bennett ranks as the No. 203 player in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that accounts all four major recruiting services. He also tabs in as the No. 16 athlete and the No. 3player in the state of South Carolina.
