3-star safety John Slaughter commits to Tennessee
Southaven (Miss.) safety John Slaughter has committed to Tennessee on his official visit, he announced Saturday afternoon.
Slaughter is the No. 851 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 68 safety and the No. 18 player in the state of Mississippi.
On3 is significantly higher on him than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Although he didn’t crack the most recent On300 rankings, he was tabbed as the country’s No. 34 safety and the No. 8 prospect in Mississippi.
