4-star ATH Cameron Seldon commits to Tennessee
Heathsville (Va.) Northumberland four-star athlete Cameron Seldon took official visits to Maryland, Penn State and Tennessee during the month of June.
But Seldon said the official visits didn’t make a big impact on his decision, though they were huge in learning more and analyzing the smaller details of each program.
He already had the Volunteers in mind as his future home heading into the month, and the visits did nothing to change his mind.
Now, the four-star athlete is officially committed to the school.
“It was a tough decision, but I really felt Tennessee after my first visit,” Seldon said. “The unofficial visit gave me a good feeling about Tennessee. They didn’t force anything, we got along really well, and the vibe fit me. I took the official visits to make sure, but I have felt it would be Tennessee for a while.”
Seldon joins a 2023 Volunteers recruiting class that is making waves on the recruiting trail thanks to major commitments from players like Long Beach (Calif.) Long Beach Poly five-star qaurterback Nico Iamaleava.

“The main factors for me were where I felt most comfortable, where I connected with the people the best, and where I felt most home,” Seldon said.
Seldon first visited the school in March before taking his official visit the third weekend in June.
He said the coaching staff at Tennessee recruited him hard and he felt a connection to them early on in his recruitment.
They made him feel like a priority, and that feeling made a big difference
“It is a bright future at Tennessee,” Seldon said. “Coach Heupel is building a championship team and Tennessee is about to take over the SEC.”
