Four-star center Dewayne Brown is officially off the board and headed to Tennessee.

The 6-foot-9 junior out of Hoover High (AL) ultimately chose the Vols over Mississippi State, but also received offers from Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss, and others.

Brown, the No. 109 overall player in the 2025 On3 Top-150 Rankings, discussed his commitment to Tennessee with On3.

“I chose Tennessee because I trust the coaching staff and I feel like with my end goal, they can get me to where I want to be. I believe they have some of the best player development in the country and I want to be a part of it.”

In his own words, what type of player is Tennessee getting in Dewayne Brown?

“I would describe my game as a traditional big with a nice face up game. With good hands, quick feet, can run the floor and also can stretch the floor and protect the rim.”

Brown is still over a year away from arriving on campus in Knoxville, but he does have a message for ‘Vols fans.

“I would like to say to the Vols fans, show love and when I get there I am looking to impact the program.”
