Tennessee Volunteers wide receiver Bru McCoy has made a decision on the 2024 NFL Draft. He has officially decided to return to Knoxville for the 2024 season, per his Instagram account.

McCoy has been a gigantic part of the Tennessee offense since arriving on campus, so his return to the program will be more than welcome. He missed most of the second half of the Tennessee season with an ankle injury, after being carted off the field during Tennessee’s 41-20 win over South Carolina.

During the 2023 season, where McCoy played in less than five full games, the star wide receiver tallied 17 receptions for 217 yards and a touchdown. In the season prior in Knoxville, McCoy caught 52 passes for 667 yards and four touchdowns.

Moving forward with quarterback Nico Iamaleava, McCoy will be hoping to develop a tremendous rapport with his signal caller. Tennessee could have one of the more potent offenses in the SEC, and college football in general, if he’s able to do so.

Time will tell, but one thing is for sure, Tennessee is elated to have Bru McCoy back for the 2024 season. The Volunteers will be hoping to make a push for the College Football Playoff with their star wide receiver back on campus.

Players will have the opportunity to solidify their draft stock at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine, to be held in Indianapolis, Indiana from February 26 through March 4.

The three-day event will be broadcasted throughout the weekend on ESPN and NFL Network.

To be eligible for the NFL Draft, players must be at least three years removed from their final year of high school while having used up their collegiate eligibility. Underclassmen are able to request league approval to become eligible for the draft, as are players who have graduated prior to using up all of their collegiate eligibility.

Last season, 69 players were granted special eligibility for the 2023 NFL Draft. 13 underclassmen who had completed their college degrees were also deemed eligible to be selected.

The deadline to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft is on January 15. NFL teams will receive a full list of eligible players in the class on January 19.
