Former NFL star Chad Johnson shared the love in Knoxville ahead of Tennessee‘s game with Kentucky, leaving a giant tip at a local restaurant. The former pro receiver makes a habit of leaving large tips for his waitstaff at restaurants he visits, and on Saturday he shared the receipt from a Knoxville IHOP where he tipped $1,000 on a $14.29 bill.
Chad Johnson leaves major tip ahead of Tennessee-Kentucky showdown
Johnson, also known by the name Chad Ochocinco after his jersey number of 85, showed fans a look at his Saturday before making his way to watch the Volunteers play the Wildcats in person. Johnson was in Knoxville with his daughter, Cha’iel Johnson, who posed for a photo with her dad as he wore a Hendon Hooker jersey to the game.
Cha’iel Johnson is a budding sports star in her own right, having just come off a first place finish in the 800M race at the FHSAA Class 3A Track & Field State Championships in May. Johnson’s daughter was wearing a Tennessee “Recruit” lanyard around her neck in the photo, showing that the trip was one that could have a major impact on her future school commitment plans.
