Tulane transfer WR Chris Brazzell expected to commit to Tennessee

Tulane transfer wide receiver Chris Brazzell is expected to commit to Tennessee, a source told On3’s Pete Nakos. He hauled in five touchdowns this past year for the Green Wave.

Brazzell had a breakout redshirt freshman season at Tulane, totaling 44 receptions for 711 yards and five touchdowns. That led the Green Wave, who made a run to the American Athletic Conference championship game against SMU.

After the title game, Willie Fritz left to become the next head coach at Houston. Brazzell is one of 12 players to transfer out of the program following Fritz’s departure, and the sense is he’ll bolster the Tennessee wide receiver room in 2024.

Chris Brazzell played high school football at Midland Christian (TX) High School, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 1,163 overall recruit, the No. 169 wide receiver and No. 169-ranked recruit in the state from the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
