Christian Moore hits for second cycle in College World Series history, first since 1956
In Tennessee’s showdown against Florida State in the College World Series, Christian Moore hit a single, double, triple and home run, becoming only the second player to ever record a cycle in the CWS. The only other player was Minnesota’s Jerry Kindall, who achieved the feat in 1956.
The home run cut Florida State’s lead to 9-7. It was a rocket, flying 440 feet, which is the third-longest home run ever recorded in Charles Schwab Field. The home run was Moore’s 33rd this season, tying Morehead State’s Roman Kuntz for the third-most home runs in the nation.
