Tennessee has extended an offer to Dallas South Oak Cliff four-star athlete Jamyri Cauley.

Cauley is unranked in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

On3 does not rank high school sophomores during their fall seasons but does hand out grades. Jamyri Cauley was included on On3’s initial watchlist and received a grade of 90.

The Volunteers have the No. 16 overall recruiting class in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking.

Tifton (Ga.) Tift County four-star defensive lineman Tyre West, Norcross (Ga.) Greater Atlanta Christian School four-star interior offensive lineman Addison Nichols, Greenwood (Ind.) Center Grove four-star quarterback Tayven Jackson, Charlotte (N.C.) Zebulon B. Vance four-star EDGE James Pearce and Kennesaw (Ga.) North Cobb four-star EDGE Joshua Josephs are all ranked in the top 200 of the On3 Consensus.

Pearce is the highest-rated recruit in the On300, where he ranks as a five-star prospect and the No. 11 overall player in the ranking.

“Tennessee scored a huge recruiting win signing Pearce in December,” On3 National Recruiting Analyst Gerry Hamilton said. “At 6-foot-5, 220 pounds, Pearce possesses excellent bend, initial quickness and agility. An extremely disruptive player with the speed to quickly close on the ball from the backside. Fast twitch arguably has the highest upside off the edge of any prospect in the class after totaling more than 30 sacks his last two years playing more on sheer athletic ability than advanced technique. More than a sack machine, Pearce uses his long arms and reactive quickness to disrupt passing lanes. Applies pressure to a quarterback and offense in a variety of ways.”
