Tampa (Fla.) Tampa Catholic four-star interior offensive lineman Eddy Pierre-Louis is visiting Tennessee this weekend. He announced the news Friday over Twitter.

Pierre-Louis is the No. 273 overall prospect and No. 20 interior offensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 40 player in Florida.

The 6-foot-3, 355-pound recruit holds 38 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Florida has a close lead for his commitment at 39.1%.

“I talk to them mostly every week,” Pierre-Louis told Corey Bender of Gators Online on Oct. 18 about Florida. “It’s been real tight and they’ve been trying to keep a nice connection with me. It’s a family over there. I feel like coach (Billy) Napier has a plan. He is doing a great job trying to coach up these players. I just think he’s doing a good job.

“I like coach (Rob) Sale and (Darnell) Stapleton a lot. They both made it to the next level, so they know what it takes. I feel like they could take me to the next level as well.”

Miami is also hoping to keep Pierre-Louis in-state for his college football career.

“They’re showing me how they’ve improved on the offensive line,” Pierre-Louis told Stephen Wagner of CaneSport on March 30. “Because last year they struggled a little bit, but this year they have a new group of offensive linemen and they’re trying to develop it even more to have a better season. The offensive line was doing way better than last year in my opinion.

“I like the chemistry they have. They talk, they laugh, but they’re also serious at times. I like that coach (Mario) Cristobal, he watched the offensive line a lot, and plus he played offensive line so he knows how important it is in the trenches.”

At the moment, Tennessee’s 2024 recruiting class contains six players. It ranks No. 6 in the 2024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 4 in the SEC.

The Volunteers currently have no commitments from interior offensive linemen. However, Sardis (Miss.) North Panola four-star wide receiver JJ Harrell, Savannah (Ga.) Calvary Day School four-star quarterback Jake Merklinger, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star tight end Jonathan Echols and Nashville (Tenn.) Lipscomb Academy four-star cornerback Kaleb Beasley are other players pledged to head coach Josh Heupel and his staff.

Pierre-Louis will be one of multiple blue-chip recruits in Knoxville this weekend, along with Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei four-star offensive tackle Brandon Baker and Chattanooga (Tenn.) Brainerd four-star safety Boo Carter among others.
