ESPN College GameDay announces it is headed to Knoxville for a huge Week 7
ESPN College GameDay has announced it’s headed to Knoxville next weekend, with Rece Davis, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit and company to be on-hand for an SEC showdown between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Tennessee Volunteers.
The hype will be through the roof, and it’s already beginning — College GameDay took to Twitter to share a hype-video regarding the revelation early Sunday morning.

“HEY ROCKY TOP (eyeball emoji). We’re baaaaackkk,” tweeted College GameDay.
Moreover, Tennessee and Alabama are both undefeated, and next weekend’s game could have huge College Football Playoff implications. The Volunteers are coming off a dominating victory over LSU in Death Valley, while the Crimson Tide barely skated by against the Texas A&M Aggies in a heated battle at home.
Nevertheless, Josh Heupel is aspiring to build a culture in Knoxville similar to the one Nick Saban has built in Tuscaloosa. When that happens, College GameDay will be in town over and over again, and next Saturday could be the beginning of it all.
Josh Heupel provides expectations for Week 7 matchup against Alabama
Tennessee is in the midst of a phenomenal season, undefeated and looking for more with tremendous expectation. However, Week 7 will be their biggest test yet — a showdown in Knoxville with Nick Saban and Alabama on the docket.

Ahead of the matchup of the unbeatens, Volunteers coach Josh Heupel provided his expectations for next Saturday’s highly-anticipated showdown with the Crimson Tide.
“As far as our approach from our guys, I expect it to be like it has been, you know. Everybody understands the opponent that we have,” stated Heupel. “It’s important that our players and our staff enjoy this one tonight on the ride home. As a staff, you turn to the next one tomorrow, and players will turn to it on Monday. Everybody knows who’s coming to town, and the opportunity that we have.
“So I expect next Saturday to be an electric atmosphere. I can’t imagine it wouldn’t be louder, more hostile than it was for Florida. Looking forward to that.”
If Tennessee can defeat Alabama, they’ll say to the rest of the college football world that they have in-fact arrived. Nevertheless, that’s no easy feat — but it’ll still be fascinating to see how the Volunteers fare next weekend.
