4-star DL Hunter Osborne sets Tennessee official visit
Trussville (Ala.) Hewitt-Trussville defensive lineman Hunter Osborne has been one of Tennessee‘s biggest priorities up front. And the Volunteers will get him on campus for an official visit in June.
The 6-foot-3, 250-pounder announced Tuesday afternoon that he’ll head to Knoxville June 24-26, which is shaping up to be one of the Vols’ biggest visit weekends of the summer.
Osborne is the No. 104 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 12 defensive lineman and the No. 11 junior player in the state of Alabama.
The Volunteers are one of a number of programs heavily pursuing Osborne. And they’re joined by the likes of Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss, Alabama and Florida.

On March 14, Osborne unveiled his top 10. He has an official visit scheduled to Clemson from June 3-5. Osborne also says that Alabama will “more than likely” receive an official from him. Tennessee wasn’t considered in the picture until recently, but the Vols have made a significant move. He tripped to Knoxville in April as part of a busy spring visit schedule that included stops at Clemson, Florida, Alabama, Auburn and LSU.
According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), Tennessee is currently the slight favorite to land Hunter Osborne at 24.0 percent. Alabama trails slightly behind with Auburn, LSU and a host of others in pursuit as well.
