Raleigh (N.C.) Word of God Christian Academy four-star shooting guard Freddie Dilione tells On3 he’s committed to Tennessee.

The 6-foot-5, 195-pound Dilione ultimately chose the ‘Vols over Alabama, NC State, Wake Forest, VCU, Virginia, and others. He also received offers from Louisville, Indiana, Texas, LSU, and others.

Dilione is the No. 77 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 15 shooting guard and the No. 2 player in the state of North Carolina.

On3’s evaluators are much higher on the Fayetteville, N.C. native, ranking him 50th overall in the class.

What is Tennessee getting in four-star Freddie Dilione

Dilione on Tennessee

“The reason I chose Tennessee is because of the way they recruited me at a high level,” Dilione said to On3. “Also, I trust coach Barnes and his staff to push me to the next level and achieve my ultimate dream and make it to the league.”

Dilione spoke further on the ‘Vols previously with On3.

“They’re really big on skill development and getting guys to the next level,” Dilione said in a previous interview with On3. “They are like a big family over there. It’s just a great organization they have.”

Scouting Summary

Freddie Dilione is a confident bucket getter. He has good positional size with lengthy arms and broad shoulders. He is comfortable on the ball. Dilione is naturally an off-guard, secondary ball-handler, although he has shown he can be a primary ball-handler in pick and roll type situations. The reads are the question, decisively getting to his spots and scoring off the ball. Dilione is a good straight-line athlete, and his confidence and ability to score on the ball are notable.
