Edwin Spillman - Tennessee

Four-star linebacker Edwin Spillman of Nashville (TN) Lipscomb Academy announced his commitment to Tennessee Friday afternoon.

The 6-foot-2, 225 pounder chose the Volunteers over Ohio State.

Spillman on why he chose Tennessee

“What stood out to me was the culture that is being built at UT. UT is building something special! It has a great culture with a championship mentality!”

Relationship with coaching staff + their plan for him

“I am closest to coach BJ, the linebackers coach! But ultimately I am really close with all the coaches from UT, from the head coach to all the assistants! UT plans to use my versatility to help play ILB, rushing off the edge and doing some work at outside backer!”

What it means to stay home to Spillman and family

“It means a lot! Family is a really big part of my life and it is ultimately what has molded me into the person I am today. Being able to stay home close to my family and play football with my older brother is everything I have ever asked for, and I can’t wait to put on for my family and my state.”
