Tennessee TE Jacob Warren announces return for final year
Tennessee tight end Jacob Warren decided to return to the Volunteers football program for his final year of eligibility, according to a statement on his Twitter.
“My time in Knoxville has been amazing,” Warren wrote in part. “I love this place and the people that I have been on this journey with the past few years … With that being said, I will be returning for my final year of eligibility and playing one more season at Tennessee.
“I appreciate you all for the endless support and look forward to one more ride in Neyland Stadium.”
In 13 games this season, Warren caught just 12 passes for 163 yards and 13.6 yards per catch. He has 37 career catches, 416 yards and four touchdowns in four season.
Warren opted to return to school rather than enter the 2023 NFL Draft. Warren helped Tennessee to a fantastic year that was capped with an Orange Bowl win over Clemson.
