Jalin Hyatt responds to Chad Johnson on Twitter following win vs. Kentucky
Former NFL star Chad Johnson was in Rocky Top for No. 3 Tennessee‘s 44-6 beatdown of No. 19 Kentucky on his daughter’s recruiting visit, and from one star wideout to the other, Jalin Hyatt made sure to seek out Johnson.
After they met, Hyatt said that the meeting between him and Johnson, who was wearing a Hendon Hooker jersey at the game, made his day. Johnson posted on Twitter with a NSFW message to express his respect for one of the best wideouts in college football this season.
“I f***ing love you man @jalinhyatt 🙏🏾,” Johnson tweeted.
Hyatt responded, wanting to pick the brain of the future NFL Hall of Famer while still showing his excitement for meeting one of his all-time favorite wide receivers.
“Met a legend today! let’s connect in the off season fasho!!” he wrote.

Johnson did more than just speak to Hyatt and take his daughter, Cha’iel Johnson, a two-time state champion track star out of Florida, on her official visit. He also tipped a server at a local IHOP $1,000 on a $15 order. Between Hyatt and the server he tipped, a good day in Knoxville turned into a great one for those two after meeting Chad Johnson.

That said, Hyatt has been channeling his inner Ochocinco this season, putting up Heisman-esque numbers since Tennessee knocked off Alabama after Week 7.
In eight games, the junior wide receiver has hauled in 45 receptions for 907 yards and 14 touchdowns. He surpassed the 100-yard receiving mark for the third-straight game, and has 11 touchdowns in the last four matchups.
Hyatt still has time to improve those numbers, and prove to the Heisman voters that both him and Hendon Hooker should be in New York City for the trophy ceremony in just over a month.
