In one of the wilder football moments caught on camera this weekend, a Tennessee lineman stared down Alabama‘s defense while vomiting. The strange moment took place while quarterback Hendon Hooker was receiving a play call from the sideline and senior Jeremiah Crawford felt himself ready to throw up on the field.

Crawford turned his head away from the huddle to quickly spew out a lot of gross liquid onto the field, and turned his eyes towards the only player who seemed to notice — Alabama’s Byron Young.

The hilarious moment seemed to catch Young’s reaction perfectly as well, with him looking right at Crawford as he vomited on the field. Crawford noticed him and proceeded to go full-football tough guy mode and nodded his head to show he was ready to go again. Young appeared to look to his side to see if anyone else saw the interaction, but neither player had time to continue as the huddle broke and they returned to the line of scrimmage.

Tennessee’s incredibly up-tempo offense has caused multiple players throughout the season to feel the strain of playing so many plays, but seeing one of the Volunteers’ own players need a moment to recover was a great look at how tough the toll of their speed can be. Tennessee’s offense lived up to the challenge on Saturday though, taking down No. 3 Alabama to establish themselves as a top-five team in the nation.

On the field, the fans were given plenty to cheer about early on with the Volunteers building a 28-10 lead early in the second quarter. From there, former Heisman-winner Bryce Young stabilized Alabama and even jumped out to a lead in the second half. With the game tied at 42-42, Alabama picked up a fumbled handoff by Hendon Hooker and scored a defensive touchdown to take a seven-point lead.

Tennessee’s following possession nearly ended in disaster after a pass from Hooker was tipped and intercepted by Alabama in the end zone — only to get a second chance after a pass interference call against Alabama’s defense. With a second chance, Hooker delivered a touchdown strike to Jalin Hyatt for their fifth touchdown pass and catch of the game — a school record for Hyatt.

With the game tied, Tennessee’s fans had to watch as Alabama threatened to end the game with a field goal of their own — only for Will Reichard’s kick attempt to go wide right and give Tennessee the ball back with good field position and little time remaining. Hooker brought his team down into field goal range quickly and McGrath delivered the win with a 40-yard make.
