Joe Milton reveals unique hobbies outside of football

While attending the Manning Passing Academy held at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana, Tennessee quarterback Joe Milton revealed the unique hobbies he has outside of football.
As Milton explained, music and playing the drums are incredibly important to him.
“Either playing the drums, playing Call of Duty, I listen to music a lot,” Milton said. “I like to drive my car around the city, just long roads and listen to music…I’ve been playing drums since I was eight. Yeah, it’s been a minute.”
Despite playing the drums for so long, Joe Milton isn’t in a band. Instead, he plays a snap drum for himself.
“I’ve got a drum pad in my closet. I just go in there, close the closet door, and just play the drums…I would not be in the Tennessee band. HBCU, yeah, but not the Tennessee band.
Going to the Manning Passing Academy gives quarterbacks a chance to work with the legendary quarterback family, the Mannings. However, attending the same school as Peyton Manning has allowed him to learn from the Hall of Fame quarterback already.
“You get a better connection, because you know he’s gonna be at the games and know that he’s gonna be in a facility,” Milton said. “We also get to pick his brain, you’re gonna get to understand what he was thinking, how he sees defenses, how he goes about a team, you know, and just pretty much just have fun.”

With advice from mentors like Peyton Manning, Joe Milton is hoping to use his massive arm and have a breakout season in 2023. That season could potentially propel Tennessee forward as a program and help him improve his potential draft stock.
Joe Milton expects to win in 2023
Tennessee is Joe Milton’s team in 2023. With that, he needs to live up to the standard set by Hendon Hooker in 2022. He’s not worried, though, and expects to win in the 2023 season.
“We expect to win,” Milton said. “Last year, there was a lot of hope. But we expect to win. That’s the expectation. That’s what we’re going to do.”
Joe Milton took over for Hendon Hooker after he was injured late in the season against South Carolina. Milton then led the Volunteers to a blowout win over Vanderbilt and a dominant win over Clemson to win the Orange Bowl.
