JUCO CB Desmond 'Dee' Williams commits to Tennessee

Junior college cornerback Desmond “Dee” Williams out of Forsyth, Ga., has committed to Tennessee.
Williams currently attends East Central Community College in Decatur, Miss. He plans on enrolling at Tennessee this January.
“It’s been a long journey,” Williams said. “I wanna thank my Mom and Dad for pushing me to be the best I can be and showing me how to keep fighting when things get hard. I also would like to thank my coaching staff at East Central and my high school coach…for believing in me through the process.”
Williams spent three seasons at East Central, playing in 23 total games. He had 103 total tackles, 13 interceptions and 28 pass breakups during his career.

He had an outstanding 2021 season, finishing with seven interceptions and 14 pass breakups in just nine games. He also returned a punt for a touchdown and averaged 23.4 yards per kickoff return.
The Volunteers have the 20th ranked recruiting class in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking. Montgomery (Ala.) Montgomery Catholic Preparatory three-star safety Jourdan Thomas is the only defensive back recruit in the class.
Thomas is the No. 815 overall recruit and No. 67 safety in the country, according to the 2022 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
