Tennessee's Gerald Mincey calls out Alabama's Will Anderson for his 'anxiety' admission
Alabama struggled mightily against Tennessee, especially when it came to the pass rush. Vols quarterback Hendon Hooker was kept clean for most of the night by the offensive line. Star players such as Will Anderson and Dallas Turner were not in the backfield and were neutralized thanks to great blocking.
Tennesse left tackle Gerald Mincey has had some fun after the game, celebrating his big performance on the Third Saturday of October.

Already having some words for Anderson postgame, Mincey extended the trash-talking into the following week. After Anderson said Alabama had some “anxiety” before the game, the Tennessee offensive lineman responded, calling out the once Heisman-hopeful defensive player.
“Naw fam, you just suck,” Mincey said via his Instagram story.
Mincey and the entire Tennessee offensive line were able to keep Anderson in check, giving up just three tackles and 0.5 tackles for a loss. For somebody who is used to dominating football games, it’s unusual to see Anderson in the position he is at the moment.
But at the same time, Mincey earned the right to talk a little smack, having the great game he did. Some post-game cigars were smoked by the offensive lineman as well, experiencing his first win over Alabama in the rivalry.

If Mincey and Anderson do meet on a football field again in the future, there could be a fun battle between the two. Even if it’s not in Alabama and Tennessee jerseys.
Will Anderson speaks on anxiety suffered before Tennessee game
It’s not often that Alabama is left shell-shocked. That’s exactly what happened, though, during their loss at Tennessee this weekend. The Tide were in the game until the very end but the way the game played out and what all happened at the end hit Alabama hard. Nick Saban said after the game that it showed a lack of discipline but, for Will Anderson, he said the root of the problem came even before kickoff.
Anderson spoke about the emotion of the loss during his press conference on Monday. He said that Alabama actually felt anxiety before the game. In the end, he thinks it affected their performance in the hyped-up SEC matchup.
“I think we probably just had a lot of anxiety,” Anderson said. “We didn’t have the same intensity that we had a couple weeks ago. We most definitely needed that to carry over to this game. But that intensity was just not where it needed to be,” said Anderson. “Probably just had a little anxiety for a big road game.”
