Olivier Nkamhoua explains how Tennessee gained valuable experience during SEC Tournament
The Tennessee Volunteers came up short in the SEC Tournament. However, as Olivier Nkamhoua explained, the Volunteers gained much needed experience ahead of the NCAA Tournament.
Nkamhoua explained that it all goes back to playing more games in March.
“I think it’s true,” Olivier Nkamhoua said. “Playing in these kind of tough games, close games, intense games, is always going to be good for us in the long run because that’s tournament basketball, that’s March Madness.”

“Honestly, not even the last three, we’ve been in games like this all year and we’ve come out in top in games like this and we’ve lost games like this,” Nkamhoua continued.
“I think all of that is going to be valuable experience for us going into these next games.”
Tennessee earned a four-seed in the NCAA Tournament, where the Volunteers open up against Louisiana.

Rick Barnes’ initial thoughts on Tennessee’s draw
Head coach Rick Barnes gave his initial thoughts on Louisiana, ahead of the two meeting in the NCAA Tournament.
“I’ve known Bob Marlin from my time at Texas. Bob is a terrific basketball coach. A great offensive mind and his teams are always so sound. I think we’ve played them once or twice since we’ve been here,” Barnes said.
“Jordan Brown? We recruited here. He’s a McDonald’s All-American, a high-level player. Bob’s done a terrific job with him by putting him in areas on the court where he can be very effective…He’s got good shooters around him and good point guard play.”
