Tennessee EDGE Tyler Baron enters NCAA Transfer Portal
Tennessee Volunteers EDGE Tyler Baron has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.
While he was with the Volunteers over the last four seasons, Baron has shown immense talent, and proven why he was such a highly-recruited defender. The EDGE has amassed 102 total tackles, 13.5 sacks, four pass deflections and one forced fumble over the last four seasons in Knoxville.
Tyler Baron played high school football at Knoxville Catholic (TN), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 111 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
When Baron was a recruit, he was in communication with some of the top programs in the nation, including the Ohio State Buckeyes, Alabama Crimson Tide, Clemson Tigers, LSU Tigers and Texas A&M Aggies, among a slew of others. He chose to stay at home in Tennessee, where he’s resided for the last four seasons.
Now, times are changing for Tyler Baron. We’ll be waiting to see where he ends up in 2024.
