Tennessee has a big game coming up Saturday as the Volunteers head to Pitt to take on the Panthers. Vols fans traveled pretty well for the game, too.
A big group of Tennessee fans took in the Pittsburgh Pirates’ game against the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday. To show they were there, they broke out into a chant: “It’s great to be a Tennessee Vol.”

Tennessee is trying to avenge last season’s game, a 41-34 Pitt victory at Neyland Stadium. The Vols are riding plenty of momentum, too, coming off an impressive 59-10 victory over Ball State in Week 1.
But Pitt also has momentum, defeating rival West Virginia in the Backyard Brawl last week. The two teams will square off in one of Week 2’s premier games at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

Urban Meyer calls Tennessee ‘an enigma’ ahead of telling game between Vols, Pitt
Former Florida and Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer broke down this weekend’s upcoming matchup between Tennessee and Pittsburgh on a recent episode of Urban’s Take with Tim May. Meyer talked about his experience with the Vols from his time with Florida, and how Tennessee’s new coaching staff has changed things for the program.
“Tennessee has been an enigma in the last decade. I mean there was a time in ’05 when I first went to Florida, with Phil Fulmer they had just won a National Championship a few years earlier. 100,000-seat stadium, intimidating fan base, and it kind of just disappeared for a while,” Meyer explained. “Those new coaches kind of brought them back, there’s energy.”
Both teams enter this game 1-0, taking care of business in their week 1 games. Meyer touched on Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi and his recent victory in their rivalry gamer versus West Virginia.
