Tennessee football unveils uniforms ahead of matchup vs. UTSA Roadrunners
The Tennessee Volunteers are looking to bounce back this weekend, after they were handed a humiliating defeat in The Swamp last weekend by the Florida Gators.
The Vols will be going up against the UTSA Roadrunners, one of the more underrated programs outside of the Power Five conferences. On Thursday evening, the Vols unveiled their uniform combination ahead of their matchup with the Roadrunners.
Check them out below.
The Vols will be rocking pretty much orange everything, but white helmets, white socks, and the white gloves. They’ll be going with the orange pants and orange jerseys.
The Roadrunners currently sit at 1-2 overall on the 2023 campaign. Without a doubt, the star to watch for UTSA is quarterback Frank Harris. He’s thrown for 423 yards, while completing 60.3% of his passes. Harris has also tossed in two touchdown passes with three interceptions.
A dual-threat, Harris has rushed for 60 yards thus far. Roadrunners’ running back Kevorian Barnes is the team’s leading rusher, with 51 carries for 245 yards and a touchdown.
On defense, UTSA’s Martavius French is the team’s leading tackler with 17 tackles.
Tennessee quarterback Joe Milton III has completed 63.9% of his passes for 716 yards, while tossing six touchdowns and one interception. The Vols also nearly have two players with over 200-rushing yards, Jaylen Wright (296 yards) and Jabari Small (197 yards). Tennessee has already rushed for 615 total yards this season on the ground.

Tennessee will look to rebound this week vs. UTSA
In their first game of the season, the Vols struggled with the Virginia Cavaliers for much of the first half, before pouring on an avalanche of points from the second quarter on. Starting with the second quarter, the Volunteers outscored the Cavaliers 42-13 to pull away.
Then in Week 2, Tennessee handled the Austin Peay Governors, 30-13. Jaylen Wright had 118 rushing yards in that one and Jabari Small had 95 rushing yards on just 13 carries.
The last time the Vols have prevailed in Gainesville was in 2003.
