Tennessee rises to No. 6 in On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings
Tennessee has made a three-spot jump from No. 9 to No. 6 in the 2024 On3 Industry Football Team Recruiting Rankings after adding a blue-chipper from the Lone Star State.
Sugar Land (Texas) Fort Bend Christian four-star offensive tackle Bennett Warren announced his commitment to Tennessee on Monday, choosing the Volunteers over Michigan, Oklahoma and Texas A&M.
Warren’s pledge helped the Vols leapfrog Penn State, Clemson and Michigan to claim the No. 6 class.
Tennessee’s class still ranks fourth in the SEC, behind Georgia, Florida and Alabama. Ohio State and Florida State own the only two classes outside of the conference that remain ahead of Josh Heupel‘s Vols as August awaits.
Warren is the No. 157 overall player in the On3 Industry Rankings, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. The 6-foot-7.5, 330-pounder is also the No. 13 OT in the cycle.
“When I got the chance to go down to Knoxville and not just talk on the phone with the coaches very week, it was very different,” Warren told On3. “Being around that whole staff, seeing the energy they bring to that environment was unmatched. I knew that first time was going to be special. When I did get the chance to go up there, it changed everything.”
