The Tennessee Volunteers got some great news ahead of their showdown with the Florida Gators on Friday night. The Volunteers will have their full receiving corps available for the game. Dont’e Thornton Jr. is available and will play on Saturday. He’d been listed as questionable.

Both wideouts, Squirrel White and Bru McCoy, who were listed as probable, are also ready to roll for the game. The news was relayed on Friday evening by Pete Thamel of ESPN.

Tennessee was just one of many teams to get upset last week. They lost 19-14 to the Arkansas Razorbacks. The Volunteers still sit at 4-1 and they’re looking to bounce back against their heated rivals. It’ll certainly help having a full complement of receivers.

Dont’e Thornton currently leads Tennessee in receiving yardage, as he is one of their most dynamic big play weapons. He’s hauled in eight catches for 284 yards and three touchdowns. Wideout Bru McCoy isn’t far behind. He’s snagged 14 catches for 209 receiving yards. And Squirrel White was expected to be counted on as one of their most reliable offensive weapons all season long this year. He’s hauled in 15 catches for 159 receiving yards this year.

Tennessee steamrolled their competition through the first three games of the year. They obliterated Chattanooga, NC State, and Kent State. Volunteers running back Dylan Sampson has carried their offensive attack for much of the year. He’s looked like one of the best tailbacks in the nation. He’s gone for over 100 rushing yards in four of five games this year. And in the one he didn’t clear 100-rushing yards, he still finished with 92. Sampson leads Tennessee with 91 carries for 587 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Tennessee will look to get back on track on Saturday against Florida. Kick for that one is slated for 7:00 PM EST and the game will be nationally televised on ESPN.
