While on a visit to Rocky Top this weekend, Ridgeland (Miss.) four-star wide receiver Ayden Williams earned an offer from Tennessee.
The On3 Consensus — a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies — has Williams as the No. 219 overall recruit in the country.
The Industry Comparison shows On3 rates him higher than the rest of the industry as the No. 202 recruit in the 2023 On300 ranking.
Williams is the third highest-ranked player from Mississippi in the On3 Consensus, trailing only Raleigh (Miss.) four-star linebacker Suntarine Perkins and Fulton (Miss.) Itawamba Agricultural four-star safety Isaac Smith.
He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $6.5k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

The Volunteers, led by new wide receivers coach Kelsey Pope, have been recruiting Williams hard.
“Me and the Tennessee coaches speak every day,” Williams told On3’s Sam Spiegelman. “Every day we talk and every day we’re building a great relationship. The new coach (Pope) — he’s real. He calls me every day and if I’m at work, we chop it up 10 or 15 minutes. It’s just a good conversation.”
Spiegelman watched Williams play at a 7-on-7 tournament in New Orleans and named him one of the top 10 performers from the event.
“Ayden Williams helped guide the Coastline Stars deep into the tournament on Sunday afternoon after making a splash on the tournament’s opening day,” Spiegelman said. “Williams, who is close to 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds, has not only size but a major dose of explosiveness and smoothness to his game. He found holes in opposing defenses and consistently extended the play after the catch. Williams is very sure-handed and didn’t miss a beat hauling in passes over the middle or outside the numbers.”
