3-star defensive lineman Nathan Robinson commits to Tennessee
Greenbrier (Tenn.) defensive lineman Nathan Robinson made his second unofficial visit in the last month to Tennessee over the weekend, and the Vols sealed the deal. Robinson announced commitment on social media Monday morning.
“First off, I would like to thank all my coaches from Coach Mark in 6 year old Jr. Pro all the way up to High School with Coach Elmore, Coach Gallowitz, and Coach Troy,” Robinson wrote on Twitter. “They instilled and maintained in me a love for the game that has taken me further than lever would’ve thought. I also wanna thank my family and friends for supporting me and being there for me.
“… More specifically my parents for taking care of me and making me the young man I am today. Most importantly I wanna thank my Heavenly Father. He’s blessed me and my family tremendously and none of this is possible without him, and I’ve always wanted more than anything to be able to glorify the Lord’s name at the next level. I’m blessed to be able to say that I will be committing to The University of Tennessee!!”
The 6-foot-5, 243-pounder chose the Volunteers finalists Kentucky and Ole Miss, as well as more than a half dozen offers. He named those as his top three in early February after a visit to see the Rebels, but tripped only to Tennessee since then.

He is the sixth commitment in the 2023 cycle for head coach Josh Heupel and Co., who have also reeled in five-star quarterback Nico Iamaleava and top-100 tight end Ethan Davis this far. Nathan Robinson is the Vols’ second pledge on the defensive side of the ball, joining safety Jack Luttrell.
He is the No. 439 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the country’s No. 52 defensive lineman and No. 14 junior in Tennessee.
