WATCH: Cedric Tillman announces return for Kentucky game, new cookie promotion

Tennessee star wideout Cedric Tillman is expected to make his return from an ankle injury this weekend against Kentucky, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel. He has been out since mid-September following the injury and subsequent surgery.
Tillman has practiced at full speed this week and has looked good, Thamel added. Now that he’s cleared, he can return to the fold in Tennessee’s potent offense.
And to go with Tillman’s triumphant return, the wideout is partnering with Moonshine Mountain Cookie Company to do a promotion. If he scores two touchdowns against the Wildcats, one can get two cookies — for free — from the cookie company.
If he does notch those two scores, Tillman urges fans to try his favorite cookie from the menu, the Berry White.

Tillman had a “tightrope” procedure to help get back sooner
Losing Cedric Tillman was quite a blow for Tennessee heading into the matchup against Florida. But ahead the bye week, Tillman took a big step to try and speed up his return.
Tillman underwent “tightrope” ankle surgery to avoid missing more time, ESPN’s Chris Low reported. It’s the same type of procedure Tua Tagovailoa underwent twice while he was at Alabama. The first time, Tagovailoa returned in 28 days, and he came back within three weeks of the second surgery.

Tillman suffered the injury in Tennessee’s victory over Akron Sept. 17 and missed the Volunteers’ thrilling victory over Florida at Neyland Stadium. In three games this season, he has 17 receptions for 246 yards and a touchdown to his name one year after totaling more than 1,000 yards. He decided to forego the NFL Draft and return for one more go-round with the Vols and quarterback Hendon Hooker.
