Zane Benton smashes breakthrough 3-run homer versus Southern Miss

Tennessee third baseman Zane Benton has been absolutely clutch this postseason for the Volunteers. He had another memorable moment Monday night in Game 3 of the Hattiesburg Super Regional against Southern Miss.

Benton drove a 2-0 pitch deep over the wall at Pete Taylor Park in the bottom of the fifth inning for a three-run homer to give Tennessee a 4-0 lead over the Golden Eagles.

It is his fourth home run of the postseason following three last weekend at the Regional.

The winner will books its place in Omaha for the College World Series. All seven other spots have been solidified following Stanford’s walk-off win Monday over Texas.
