Texas A&M was Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton 2024 four-star wide receiver Debron Gatling’s first love. The No. 306 overall prospect in 2024 On3 Consensus rankings has committed to the Aggies.

Texas A&M was Gatling’s first offer. He’s known for a while that College Station was home. Gatling did his due diligence. The last visit this fall just hammered it home.

The Aggies believed in Gatling, which was what he needed in the end.

“It means a lot to me,” Gatling told On3. “That means they really wanted me and believed in me played a big role.”

He’s built long-standing relationships with the coaches in College Station. That also played a key role for Gatling. The four-star wide receiver also was high on the Aggies’ philosophy of playing freshman players early on.

“The relationship that I had with the coaches and how they play there freshman year (was big),” Gatling said.
