San Antonio Alamo Heights five-star athlete Michael Terry III logged his second in-state official visit this weekend as he headed to College Station for an important visit with Texas A&M.

The Aggies are pushing hard to land the 6-foot-2.5, 211-pounder, battling Texas, Nebraska and Oregon for his commitment. Co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Holman Wiggins is leading the charge for A&M.

“Coach Wiggins has been contacting me a lot. He came from Alabama, so he has a lot of insight about getting to the next level. They really just want to make me feel at home because it’s right there nearby,” Terry said of Wiggins and A&M last month at the On3 Elite Series.

Terry has now taken OVs to Nebraska, Texas and A&M. He’s set to head to Oregon next weekend for what’s currently his last scheduled summer trip. While Terry has not named his finalists, those are the four programs making the most noise in his recruitment.

Longhorns recruiting insider Eric Nahlin became the first to log a prediction in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), as he placed a pick with 70 percent confidence that Terry lands in Austin. The Swiss Army knife prospect continues to pique the interest of head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff.

“Because of his unique blend of size, athleticism, and football character, I think the staff believes it simply cannot let him slip out of their grasp,” Nahlin wrote upon placing his prediction.

Terry caught up with On3 VP of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong after his official visit to Texas last weekend. Running backs coach Tashard Choice and OC AJ Milwee are making it known that Terry is a priority on The Forty Acres.

“It was great!” Terry said of the visit. “Coach Milwee finally showed me and explained what they’re looking for with me and it’s to play multiple positions. He just want me to develop in to a better athlete.”

Aggies after another crucial in-state commitment

A&M’s class has already grown this weekend, as Jasper (Texas) four-star tight end Kiotti Armstrong, the No. 4 TE in the 2025 class, announced his commitment on Friday evening. The Aggies’ class now features 14 pledges in total and ranks No. 9 in the nation, per the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

While it’s the Longhorns that are currently trending, On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons liked where the Aggies stood in the race for Terry last month.

“Nebraska is recruiting Michael Terry the hardest. Texas A&M may still be the favorite. Those are the two we like the best right now with Oregon and Texas two others he’s high on,” Simmons wrote.

Terry is the No. 21 overall prospect and No. 1 athlete in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 7 player in Texas.
