Goodland (Kan.) five-star tight end Linkon Cure has continued to see his stock rise ahead of his senior season. Last month, he announced he was down to four schools.

Kansas, Kansas State, Oregon and Texas A&M are all pushing hard for Cure and each program is getting an official visit from the Sunflower State standout. The Jayhawks were first up on the OV schedule last weekend. This weekend, Cure is down in College Station for a big official with the Aggies.

It’s been just over a month since the 6-foot-4.5, 210-pounder was on campus at A&M, as he logged a visit on May 4. Head coach Mike Elko and offensive coordinator Collin Klein have made plenty of positive impressions on the touted tight end.

“I love the relationships I have with the staff!” Cure told On3’s Steve Wiltfong last month. “I love the culture and absolutely love where the program is headed. The coaches want to coach for each other and players want to play for each other.

“I loved my time there. You can feel the energy.”

An official visit to Oregon is on deck for Cure on the June 14 weekend. He’ll round things out with K-State on June 21 as he continues to work towards a decision. The in-state Wildcats have long been trending in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).

“This race has gotten a little tighter over the last couple of months, but Kansas State still could be tough to beat,” On3’s Chad Simmons said of Cure’s recruitment last month. “Oregon is one to watch. Texas A&M cannot be ruled out either. Kansas is trying to compete with Kansas State, but the Wildcats continue to set the pace.”

Cure is the No. 28 overall prospect and No. 2 TE in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 2 player in Kansas.

Texas A&M Class Breakdown

13 prospects currently make up the A&M class, headlined by two elite pledges from the West Coast and a myriad of in-state athletes.

Just three of the Aggies’ commits are not from Texas, one of whom is the highest-ranked prospect in the mix. Corona (Calif.) Centennial four-star quarterback Husan Longstreet is a centerpiece addition for Elko and Co.

Now a top-50 recruit and the No. 6 QB in the On3 Industry Ranking, Longstreet committed on April 14. He was one of two prospects to commit on the day, as he followed Denton (Texas) Ryan four-star interior offensive lineman Marcus Garcia.

Lancaster (Calif.) Quartz Hill four-star cornerback Adonyss Currie became the second top-100 prospect to join the class, as his commitment came by surprise on May 24. He’s one of four corners committed to Elko and Co., alongside Pearland (Texas) Shadow Creek four-star Cobey Sellers, Katy (Texas) Paetow four-star Deyjhon Pettaway and Goodyear (Ariz.) Desert Edge four-star Jamar Beal-Goines. All four corners check in inside the top 220 in the On3 Industry Ranking.

DeSoto (Texas) four-star running back Deondrae Riden is a top-20 burner and provided a recruiting boost with his pledge in February. Forney (Texas) four-star linebacker Kelvion Riggins, Cypress (Texas) Cy-Fair four-star defensive lineman Landon Rink and Cypress (Texas) Bridgeland four-star offensive tackle Jonte Newman are all top-400 recruits.
