Texas A&M 4-star CB signee Bravion Rogers talks Tony Grimes, upcoming arrival to College Station
Even after La Grange (Texas) four-star cornerback Bravion Rogers decommitted from Texas A&M in August, the Aggies’ coaching staff made it a priority to get Rogers back.
That sort of commitment stuck out to Rogers, who recommitted and later signed with the Aggies in December.
I’m excited to get to work already,” Rogers, the No. 62 overall player and No. 6 cornerback in the 2023 On3 Consensus, said. “It stuck out with how they treated me after I decommitted. I was always still a priority to them.”
Rogers is the fourth highest-ranked players in Texas A&M’s 2023 recruiting class. He signed with the Aggies over Alabama and LSU, saying that while he liked what Alabama and LSU had laid out for him, A&M’s plan and commitment to him stuck out.
Even with A&M’s on-field struggles in 2022 and players opting to head to the transfer portal following the season, Rogers said that only reaffirmed his decision to recommit in September.

“If everyone sticks together, we can do something special in the next few years,” Rogers said. “The guys that decided to hit the portal, so what? We still have to work to do.”
Getting to play with Tony Grimes is a big plus for Rogers
One of the biggest perks of Grimes sticking with the Aggies is that he’ll get to play alongside former five-star cornerback Tony Grimes.
A 2020 prospect, Grimes originally signed with North Carolina and spent the last three seasons with the Tar Heels. He opted to go into the transfer portal following his junior season and committed to Texas A&M.
“I talked to Tony,” Rogers said. “It’s cool having someone like that who’s been through college life so far. I can learn from him and get to work.”
