Starkville (Miss.) four-star wide receiver Braylon Burnside announced Tuesday that he is taking an official visit to Texas A&M. His trip to College Station will be from June 2-4.

Burnside is the No. 203 overall prospect and No. 36 wide receiver in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 8 player in Mississippi.

On3 rates Burnside higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 195 overall prospect, No. 33 wide receiver and No. 3 player in Mississippi.

In addition to the Aggies, Burnside has also scheduled an official visit to Arkansas on June 23. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Ole Miss is leading for his commitment at 89.7%.

Texas A&M’s 2024 recruiting class currently ranks No. 17 in the 2024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 10 in the SEC. The Aggies recently landed a commitment from Blountstown (Fla.) four-star safety Jordan Pride, the No. 101 overall prospect and No. 8 safety in the On3 Industry Ranking.

Head coach Jimbo Fisher and his staff also have pledges from five other players. One of them is a wide receiver: Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton three-star Debron Gatling.

A 6-foot-1, 194-pound wideout, Burnside previously announced his top eight schools in December.

Burnside is also interested in other SEC programs

Burnside has visited Ole Miss nine times. His last trip to the Rebels came on Jan. 29.

“It was pretty good,” Burnside told Zach Berry of OM Spirit on Feb. 1 about the visit. “Coach (Lane) Kiffin already came to my school the week before to make sure I was coming. We got a chance to talk extensively on Sunday about a lot of stuff.”

“The entire coaching staff is pretty much recruiting me,” he added. “When coach (PeteGolding was hired, he reached out to me the next day. And he’s a defensive coach. But he still DM’d me to say he really likes my game. That’s love.”

Burnside also visited Alabama on Jan. 28. He has yet to be offered by the Crimson Tide.

“That was probably one of the best visits I’ve been on, by far,” Burnside told Joseph Hastings of BamaInsider on Feb. 7.

“It went well,” he added. “I got to talk with more coaches this time because my name has been floating around Mississippi as one of the top kids… When I got there, it was nothing but love.”
