Class of 2024 EDGE Gabriel Reliford commits to Texas A&M
Class of 2024 EDGE Gabriel Reliford of Shreveport (LA) Evangel Christian Academy announced his commitment to Texas A&M Tuesday afternoon.
The 6-foot-2, 250 pounder chose the Aggies over Ole Miss and Vanderbilt.
Reliford on why he chose Texas A&M
“What most lead me to commit to Texas A&M was it being the best of both worlds. What I mean by the best of both worlds is that they have great academics and they play great football. Also a couple of other factors are the fan base and how strong it is also the town the players are well taken care of wherever they go. And last but not least the coaches there are great coaches they’re gonna push you to be the best version of yourself as well as get you to the next level.
Relationship with coaching staff + their plan for him
“I am closest with Coach Mason. He is the one who ultimately put me in front of the staff and got me looked at. They plan to use as an outside in guy on the defensive line.”
The Louisiana EDGE joins coach Jimbo Fisher and the Aggies top 15 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by four-star defensive lineman Dealyn Evans, four-star safety Jordan Pride, and others.
