WATCH: Texas A&M defense comes up huge with goal line fumble return touchdown
The Texas A&M defense came up massively against Arkansas, forcing a goal-line fumble they would return for a touchdown. Arkansas quarterback KJ Jefferson took a snap from the three-yard line and attempted to dive over the line of scrimmage into the end zone — leading to a fumble that was picked up by Tyreek Chappell.
Chappell quickly attempted to take the ball for a score of his own as Razorbacks running back Raheim Sanders tracked him down near the sideline. However, because the play was a goal line situation and the Arkansas team was not aware the ball had come all the way out, nobody from Arkansas was able to join the play.

In a wild moment, Sanders attempted to bring Chappell down before Demani Richardson came over to help Chappell and take the ball. With nobody from Arkansas anywhere near, Richardson took the ball in for the touchdown — giving Texas A&M a chance to tie the game after facing a possible 14-point deficit before the fumble.
The huge play gave the Aggies a great chance to take over in the second half, trailing 14-13 after failing to score on the extra-point attempt after the touchdown. Arkansas dominated for most of the first half, but a 60-yard run from Devon Achane and the fumble return kept the game nearly even at the break.
