Four-star cornerback Bravion Rogers of La Grange (TX) High announced his commitment to Texas A&M Tuesday afternoon.

The 6-foot, 180 pounder was previously committed to the Aggies before announcing his decommitment a few weeks ago.

Rogers on why he chose Texas A&M

“It just felt like home, and I would not want to go anywhere else really,” Rogers said. “I have a great relationship with coach Rushing and Jimbo (Fisher). They are just going to keep it real with you and they are cool guys to be around.”

Texas A&M’s plan for Rogers + taking on recruiting role

“We have talked about letting me move around in the secondary,” Rogers said. “And of course, we are going to get some more recruits rocking with us.”

The Lone Star state defensive back joins coach Fisher and the Aggies’ Top 25 class in the 2023 team rankings. He is accompanied by five-star LB Anthony Hill Jr., Chase Bisontis, and others.

Bravion Rogers Scouting Summary

“Developmental corner prospect with tremendous athletic ability that can run with almost any player in the state of Texas,” On3’s Director of Scouting Charles Power wrote. “Two-way player for La Grange at corner and wide receiver. Doubles as a top athlete in track and field. Posted a 6’07” high jump as well as a 21’06” long jump in 2022 and ran 10.67 in the 100m in 2021. Has the long speed and hip fluidity to stay in phase as well as the ball skills to win at the catch point. Lacks ideal height and length. Needs to clean up his footwork and hand placement in press, but is easily fixable with collegiate coaching. High upside prospect due to his lack of development in positional traits along with his high level movement skills. Older for the class, turning 18 years old as a junior.”

Rogers currently ranks as the No. 43 player in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that accounts for all four major recruiting services. He also tabs in as the No. 5 cornerback and the No. 9 player in the state of Texas.
