The Recruiting Prediction Machine is now trending heavily in Texas A&M’s favor for five-star Denver Harris.

Houston (Texas) North Shore cornerback Denver Harris is coming off a victory in the state semifinals Saturday, and today, he’s on campus seeing one of his top schools.

Sources tell On3 Senior National Recruiting Analyst Gerry Hamilton that Harris is at Texas A&M today for a one-day official visit. It was rumored he would stop to see Texas last night after his team’s game, but that didn’t materialize. Instead he’ll see the Aggies, who have been considered a major contender — and the likely favorite — in his recruitment for some time.

The five-star cornerback ranks as the country’s No. 16 prospect, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the No. 2 player at his position and the No. 5 prospect in Texas.

The Aggies stopped in Houston last weekend for an in-home visit, with head coach Jimbo Fisher bringing along defensive backs coach TJ Rushing and offensive coordinator Darrell Dickey.

Harris initially considered committing in September but opted to hold off. According to On3’s Chad Simmons, Alabama has been at the top for some time now for Harris, and had he committed this fall, it almost certainly would’ve been to the Tide. But Texas A&M has made a recent move and appears to be the favorite right now.

Denver Harris could be part of an all-time recruiting class

The Aggies have amassed a terrific recruiting class so far. And they could potentially reel in the highest-ranked class in the recruiting site era. Five-Star Plus commits Evan Stewart and Walter Nolen headline a group that currently features 20 “blue chip” prospects. And Fisher and Co. are far from done. They’re considered the favorites to land five-stars Shemar Stewart and Harold Perkins.

In total, Texas A&M could end up with six of the country’s top 16 prospects in one class. That is in addition to five-star quarterback Conner Weigman. All of the Aggies’ 2022 commits, save for kicker Ethan Moczulski, rank among the top-450 nationally in the On3 Consensus.
