5-stars Shemar Stewart, Harold Perkins visiting Texas A&M
Two of the elite prospects in the 2022 class will be on campus at Texas A&M this weekend when the Aggies host Five-Star Plus linebacker Harold Perkins and five-star defensive lineman Shemar Stewart.
Perkins is the No. 3 prospect in the 2022 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Stewart checks in at No. 7, as well as being the No. 2 defensive lineman in the country.
Tuesday morning, Stewart tweeted that he was headed to College Station this weekend for an expected unofficial visit. Then, Perkins quote-tweeted Stewart and said he would be joining him.
Harold Perkins and Shemar Stewart are Texas A&M’s biggest targets
With the flip of five-star defensive lineman Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy from Oklahoma to the Aggies, Texas A&M ascended to the No. 1 spot in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.
But Jimbo Fisher and Co. still have a number of major targets still on the board, headlined by Perkins and Stewart.

Harold Perkins is down to a top three of LSU, Texas and Texas A&M. And he has hosted each for an in-home visit this week. The Aggies have considered the favorite for quite some time now. But new LSU coach Brian Kelly will surely try to persuade the New Orleans native to come back home to Louisiana.
Stewart, meanwhile, appears to be at the center of a two-team race between the Aggies and Georgia.
“Texas A&M is still on top for Opa Locka (Fla.) Monsignor Pace pass rusher Shemar Stewart and the momentum does not seem to be slowing down,” On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons wrote last week.
Should Texas A&M land both, which is a very distinct possibility, the Aggies would have five of the top eight prospects in the On3 Consensus committed for 2022. Five-Star Plus defensive lineman Walter Nolen committed to the Aggies on Nov. 6 and wide receiver Evan Stewart followed suit on Nov. 29.
